I love Chicago!! I’ve done the FLW tour multiple times. It’s sooo good and easy to get to on the blue line for those staying downtown. The house is a gem and so interesting – there is a tree growing in the middle of the house. I’ve also done the boat architectural tour which is amazing, too! So cool to hear from someone making time for hobbies!

I work as a lawyer for a large organisation so there is an office in my city but the teams I work with are based in my old city, which is 3hrs ahead. The time difference works great for me as I generally work 6am-3pm, which has been a good fit with young kids – my husband does breakfast and the school run and I do after school and dinner. It’s harder in winter but so nice to be finished mid afternoon during summer! It definitely helped having existing relationships before switching to remote work but agree putting in some time for face to face visits initially is a great idea.
