Thanks so much, Monica! Once I put money on the line (a hefty sum) and know that some external person is counting on me I’m good to go. If it’s just me and my internal deadlines, like you say, I can always find time to fold laundry or file my nails!

It is very motivating to hear from someone else who is also going through the same struggle. I really like the writing workshop commitment, it truly is amazing what deadlines will do for ones productivity. That has been my issue, with just my internal deadlines for writing, it is quite easy to blow it off when I’ve already put in 8-10 hours at work that day. Thanks for the motivation!

So I scheduled in two mornings, one evening and one weekend session per week. Day 1 was this morning, and I settled into my usual (bad) habit of reading a few blog posts before settling into work…starting with this one….and the universe provided me with a firm reminder to get back to work!
