Our Approach to Launching Careers in Product Design

We offer our UX/UI design course in two formats – full-time and part-time. Just like the rest of our courses, if you don’t get a job within 6 months of graduating, you’ll get your tuition back.

You’ll also be coached on how to land the jobs of your dreams by your personal 1-on-1 mentor and our career coaches. The curriculum is divided into 7 phases.

UX/UI Design Fundamentals

This is the very first phase of the program, where you’ll learn about the basics of UX/UI Design. You’ll have a detailed understanding of what UX/UI Design means and what it takes to be a UX/UI Designer. You’ll learn the basic industry tools, and you’ll begin to apply your basic knowledge on UX/UI design.

Designing Your First Product

In this part of the course, you’ll take what you’ve learned in the first section and apply it to a real world project. You’ll get acquainted with major design tools like Figma, Sketch, and Webflow. By the end of this phase, you’ll come to find that you understand UX/UI design much better.

Designing Within a Team

This portion of the course is all about helping you become a team player. You’ll learn how to work as a UI/UX designer in a team. You’ll also learn how to collaborate with other teams to define solutions. By the end of this portion of the course, you’ll be able to apply design techniques to several types of challenging design situations.

Specialization

This is the phase where you get to take control and choose a specialization to study. You can choose from visual design which includes branding, usability, and accessibility. Or you can choose web design which includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UX Research. Web design also includes data collection, as well as quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Capstone

This is the final phase of the program, where you work on the design process of a product of your choice.  At this phase, you really dive into practical experience so that you’ll be ready for the professional world.

Portfolio

During this course, you’ll learn how to build a portfolio that’ll help you land your dream job. Not only that, but you’ll be able to use projects from the course as portfolio pieces. You’ll be far ahead of your competition when you build a solid portfolio as a beginner.

Careers

One of the best parts of our courses is that they’re designed to get you hired. When you join the course, you’ll be paired up with a 1-on-1 mentor. You’ll also receive career counseling which will provide you with an unrivaled edge compared to other entry-level product designers.

Tuition Cost

One of the best parts of Thinkful, is that we pride ourselves on our success rate. Because of that, if you don’t land a job in your field within 6 months of graduation, you’ll receive a full refund.

Another great bonus of the course is that you can start with a free 15-day trial. After the free trial, UI/UX Design Immersion will cost you $12,150.00.  To complete the payment, you have 5 options to choose from!

Income Share Agreement: You pay nothing upon enrollment. Once you land yourself a job, you share your income and make monthly payments until your course is paid off!

Income Share Agreement with Living Stipend: This option is an add on to the first option of an Income Share Agreement. On top of the income share, you get a stipend of $1,500 per month for living expenses. Once you land a job, the same rules apply and you’ll pay Thinkful back each month.
